The Renegade opens across the street from Florida State

605 beds, 293 apartments and 200 leases signed in the first three weeks.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — August 2024. The Renegade has welcomed its first residents for the 2024–25 academic year. The 293-apartment, 605-bed community sits across the street from the Florida State University campus and opened with more than 200 leases signed in the first three weeks of pre-leasing.

Designed by the ownership team from a blank page, The Renegade offers studios through five-bedroom townhomes, with 30% of its beds in studios, every apartment furnished with in-unit laundry. Amenities include a resort-style pool deck, a fitness center, study lounges and a staffed concierge desk.

The Renegade is the team's second ground-up student community in Tallahassee and its flagship for a hospitality-led approach to student living.

“We built the community we wished we had lived in as students, and then we staffed it with people who live for service.”
