The Heights opens its expanded clubhouse
A $3 million expansion adds a second floor of amenity space at Penn State's largest off-campus community.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — August 2025. The Heights at State College has opened its expanded clubhouse ahead of the fall semester. The $3 million project adds a full second floor to the building at the center of the 459-unit community, with new study lounges, a games room, an expanded fitness center and gathering space for resident events.
The expansion is the centerpiece of a multi-year reinvestment program at The Heights that also includes a rolling renovation of apartment interiors and upgrades to the pool deck and outdoor areas.
“We built the clubhouse for the way students actually live: late nights, group projects and game days. It is already the busiest room in State College.”Charles Howell · Principal
